Research, narrative & culture

We fund the analytical and cultural work that informs strategy and shifts public understanding of animals — policy research, media projects, and narrative interventions designed to expand the political space for animal protection.

What we fund

  • Rigorous policy research that meaningfully informs strategy or campaign design.
  • Media and cultural projects that shift how a meaningful audience thinks about animals.
  • Narrative work tied to concrete movement or policy goals.
  • Partnerships with subject-matter experts who can do specialized analysis the broader movement lacks.

What we look for

  • Specific intended audience and theory of how the work changes their thinking or behavior.
  • Tied to a movement or policy goal, not awareness-raising in the abstract.
  • High craft — bad media is worse than no media.
